Album Review by Sovereign
Some words from their blog: “Final result are 10 tracks for a total running time of 37 minutes, in which the band explores a new range of emotions and feelings, a very deep and dark universe always brought by their usual postcore fury. Band’s impact is well recognized as one of the most overwhelming and mind-blowing, and the song structures have been particularly developed to achieve this.” My opinion is that this band from Italy creates a great album with a noisy and slow metal, full of experiments, fresh ideas, Neurosis atmosphere, ufomammut drones and progressive sounds. Other details are that Matteo Spinazzè (Zu/Original Silence/Fm Einheit) has led the drum tracking, while Lorenzo Stecconi (Lento/Ufomammut/Lloyd Turner) has taken care of guitars/basses and final mixing flow at his Locomotore Recording Studio in Rome (IT). James Plotkin has gone for mastering process in Philadelphia (US). The compositions rule this kind of post-metal, There are psychedelic sounds which get involved in fights with huge metal riffs and doom drones that could destroy your thoughts. This album is great and the inspiration of the Italians came from Earth, Neurosis, Cult of Luna, Melvins, Tephra, Electric Wizard, the Angelic Process and Amenra. Fantastic ambient metal with unbelievable post-rock ideas and fucking killing riffs.
