This is the third full-length album of Ramesses. Tim Bagshaw (guitars), Mark Greening (drums) both ex- Electric Wizard members alongside with Adam Richardson (bass, vocals) bring to their doom metal this underground smell lots of bands wish to create (but they can’t). This album is dark, heavy and dirty. Their doom metal moves away from previous death metal paths and this album dig in sludge fields. Growls, screems and hellish shouts under an out-of-tone style makes your mind ride hard! Slow creations and deep compositions of dark doom metal that sounds fantastic out of their hands. These guys heal my sludge metal wounds and dig deep inside my doom metal worries. This is not an album for the mass of doom metal fans. People who like Electric Wizard, Eyehategod, Zoroaster, Rwake, Yob and Weedeater would appreciate these creations. There is no blandness in here, even if some parts are too slow and idle, the atmosphere smells hell and death. For me this is an “blackened stoner doom metal” hymn… If these term could exist. Rotten guitars over some heavy rocks which roll through the drums and smash the bass lines down.
